कोयना धरण १०० टक्के भरून फुल्ल झाले आणि हवामान खात्याच्या अंदाजानुसार कोयना पाणलोट क्षेत्रात पावसाला पुन्हा सुरवात झाली आहे. परिणामी धरणातील जलपातळी नियंत्रित करण्यासाठी धरणाचे सहा वक्र दरवाजे पाऊण फुटांवर उचलून कोयना नदीपात्रात प्रतिसेकंद ९ हजार २७४क्यूसेकस पाण्याचा विसर्ग सुरू करणेत आला आहे.
दरम्यान पावसाचा जोर वाढल्यास पाण्याचा विसर्गही आणखी वाढविण्याची श्यक्यता कोयना सिंचन विभागाने व्यक्त केली असून नदीकाठच्या गावांना सतर्कतेचा इशारा दिला आहे.
